Winter Market Themed Wedding

Angela and Nick met while attending Wheaton College in Massachusetts and by their wedding day, they were together for almost a decade! A huge focus of theirs was to bring their various groups of friends and family together. Both Angela and Nick are from California originally. After attending school in multiple states and later moving to D.C., they were excited for everyone to meet and get to know each other on wedding day.

It was clear from their first tour of Tranquility Farm that it would be the perfect place to bring everyone together. The luxurious farm is nestled in the countryside of Purcellville, Virginia (just a short drive outside of Washington D.C.). There are 23 acres, which include an 1807 fieldstone manor, an antique barn and plenty of accommodations onsite. This meant that most of their wedding party and family were able to spend the entire weekend with them!

Another focus of Angela and Nick’s was they wanted their wedding to be reminiscent of their favorite things – family, friends, and the places they’ve traveled together over the years. Megan Lentz of Vida Events helped them design a subtle Oktoberfest/winter market themed wedding. She curated a rich natural color palette of sage green, ochre, blush and browns. Nick and his groomsmen wore cozy tweed suits and Angela wore an ivory silk wrap dress with long sleeves and delicate buttons from Kamperett. Not only were these gorgeous looks, but it helped them stay warm against the late fall temperatures. Since most of their planning took place during the height of the pandemic, Angela and Nick found themselves spending their free time enjoying outdoor breweries in Loudoun County. This led them to skipping the traditional signature cocktails and instead, featuring some of their favorite beers from local brewery, Wheatland Spring.
