February 7, 2021
It’s pretty rare that I work on my birthday, but for Emma and Ethan I had to make an exception! These two tied the knot on December 12 in an intimate Stone Tower wedding celebration! I’d been working with Ethan and Emma and their wonderful planner, Maria since last year and their wedding day was long awaited.
Like many couples this year they’ve gone through more than their fair share of changes during the wedding planning process. Originally these two were supposed to have their big wedding day on February 14, 2021, but when it became clear that COVID wasn’t going to allow all their loved ones to gather safely they adapted, slimmed down the guest list and moved their wedding day up to December. However, just when things were finalized new mandates forced them to rework the guest list a second time. Emma and Ethan ultimately decide to get married this December in front of 20 close friends and family and then postpone their big wedding plans for next January.
For their microwedding, Ethan and Emma exchanged their vows in the tank room, followed by their first dance as husband and wife and a brief hello to their virtual guests on Zoom! After we headed outdoors for some group photos and then portraits around Stone Tower’s grounds. Even on a chilly, winter day there were so many beautiful spots for us to take their portraits!
Emma and Ethan, I’m so glad I was able to photograph you two getting married this year and am even more excited to do it all again next winter! I’ll be counting down the day until you’re in front of my camera again!
