A Shadow Creek Elopement in Purcellville, Virginia

I joined Katie and Steven last December for their intimate Shadow Creek elopement! These two elope at their wedding venue because they’re expecting a little girl this spring!

I met up with Katie first at Shadow Creek’s beautiful bridal suite where she had a quiet morning getting ready with her mom. Shadow Creek has such a beautiful space to get ready in and we took advantage of all the time to take some portraits once she’d stepped into her dress. Then she met her dad outside for a sweet first look before the ceremony!

One of my favorite parts about elopements is how laidback they are and Katie and Steven’s was no different! There was no strict timeline we had to stick too, we could set up the ceremony space however we wanted and the whole morning just flowed naturally. After exchanging their vows in front of their closest family we took some group pictures and then walked around Shadow Creek for Steven and Katie’s newlywed portraits!

I had such a great time getting to meet these two for the first time and am so excited to keep working with them again this spring. Expect to see these two back on the blog soon for their maternity portraits!
