Shayan and Erica braved some dreary weather for the cutest fall engagement session in downtown Middleburg!
The morning of Erica and Shayan’s engagement session was cloudy with scattered showers. Usually, I’d be quick to recommend postponing, but since the weeks of warmer fall weather were starting to run out we decided it was worth the risk of rain. I’m so glad we took a chance! By the afternoon things had started to clear up and while the sky was still overcast, the weather held off for our stroll around the historic streets of downtown Middleburg.
We started their session incorporating some of the fun backdrops Middleburg has to offer and making sure their pup got plenty of time in the spotlight! Their dog was so excited to be part of the shoot! After taking some portraits around my favorite streets we walked back to one of my favorite secret spots in downtown Middleburg – this romantic path that runs along the Red Fox Inn‘s carriage house! After we drove down the road to a local park to capture a few more pictures with a fall backdrop. Erica and Shayan enjoy lots of outdoors adventures so it was the perfect way to tie in their love of nature and the autumn colors!
I can’t wait to work with these two again for their fall wedding day at Riverside on the Potomac. Until then enjoy a few of my favorites from Erica and Shayan’s downtown Middleburg engagement session!
