Emma and Matt are so much fun to be around! I loved catching up with these two for their second engagement session down in Williamsburg, Virginia!
When coronavirus shut everything down, Emma and Matt’s engagement session was one of the sessions I had to postpone until the state started to reopen. After multiple days of bad weather it looked like we were finally in the clear and I headed down to Williamsburg to meet up with them. Crazily enough though, despite predictions for a beautiful clear day, the three of us got caught in a torrential downpour on the drive. There was a massive thunderstorm that followed us on the highway straight to Williamsburg!
Despite the gloomy skies we decided to stick it out and started with a few photos around the William and Mary campus. The rain was looking a little bit ominous so we quickly hurried over to the Crimdell Bridge where Emma and Matt got engaged. At this point we got caught in a full on storm, but these two were troopers and modeled in the rain.
Luckily, for us sticking out the rain was worth it! We did have to break out the umbrellas a few times, but by the time we started exploring the gardens and streets of Colonial Williamsburg we were rewarded with the prettiest summer light. To top it off we even wrapped up their session with a rainbow!
I can’t wait to be back in Williamsburg for their wedding this November with the Wedding Company of Williamsburg!
