Nicole & Justin || D.C. Micro Wedding

Nicole and Justin have tied the knot! This spring COVID threw a wrench in their plans, and suddenly they were faced with being forced to postpone the wedding day that they had been planning for months. After lots of thought they decided to postpone to next year. However, Justin and Nicole knew they still wanted to get married on their original date.

When they first reached out to me Virginia mandates were still restricting events to less than 10 people so they begun planning for their church ceremony with just their immediate family. Only a week before, plans changed and they found out they would be allowed to invite a few more guests to celebrate with them. Their intimate church ceremony transformed in just a few days to a micro wedding celebration!

Nicole and Justin started the day getting ready with family and friends at her parents’ house in Great Falls. They stayed a part, preferring to save the first look for the ceremony, but each took some time to snuggle with their pup before they headed out. After the ceremony at Nicole’s childhood church, they drove off in style in a turquoise Mustang for a short trip down the road to the Ritz-Carlton. There they met up with their guests who had unexpectedly been able to join on short notice and celebrated with toasts and wedding cake!

Congratulations Nicole and Justin! I was so glad to join you two to capture your micro wedding. I’m so glad you were able to celebrate on your original date and am sure the celebrations will be even more fun for round 2 next year!

Enjoy a few of my favorite moments from this D.C. micro wedding below!
