Being a Loudoun County native I love any chance to get to work at wedding venues in our area. Loudoun has such a wide variety of venues for brides and grooms to choose from. One of my favorite things is how many beautiful new places have opened within the past few years!
This summer I’ve had the chance to get to know one new venue in particular – Sylvanside Farm. The owners, Terri and Jeff, purchased Sylvanside last winter and have worked hard to restore the farm. Their focus is to celebrate Sylvanside’s heritage and create a beautiful space for celebrations. They’ll be having their first wedding there this fall and are already booking up for 2019!
The Purcellville farm was first established back in 1774 and includes two large barns, manor house, cottage, hunt box and smoke house on it’s grounds. With 25-acres of land couples can choose a variety of ceremony backdrops, including their beautiful pond. Sylvanside is one of the biggest venues I’ve gotten the chance to visit and I was wowed in particular by their Poplar Barn. The long barn can fit up to 400 guests making it perfect for brides and grooms who want to welcome many guests!
I was so excited to get a chance to visit Sylvanside a couple times this summer and capture some photos for them. The venue is beautiful and I can’t wait to hopefully capture a wedding day here soon!
Are you thinking about getting married at Sylvanside? Send me an email! I would love to hear all about your wedding plans!
