5 Virginia Wedding Venues I’d Love to Photograph at in 2018

In my personal opinion our state is one of the most beautiful to get married in because Virginia wedding venues are stunning! We have such a wide variety for brides & grooms-to-be to choose from. Over the past three years I’ve gotten to capture weddings at so many Virginia venues (and even some D.C., Maryland, and Pennslyvania ones!), but there are still many more I can’t wait to visit. Today’s blog post covers the top 5 wedding venues I’d love to shoot a wedding at in 2018!

Keswick Vineyards

Keswick Vineyards is located nearby Charlottesville, Virginia and is a gorgeous winery with a stunning manor home. There’s a beautiful courtyard in the front of the home that’s perfect for portraits as well as the courtyard and vineyards in the back. They also have multiple locations for ceremonies and receptions letting you make your wedding unique to you! I would love to shoot at 2018 wedding here!

Breaux Vineyards

Okay so I’ve actually shot at Breaux Vineyards before, but only as a second shooter! I fell in love with the venue the first time I visited and I’ve been dying to go back! The vineyards are perfect for an intimate ceremony hidden away from other winery visitors and an elegant reception space that is stunning when decked out with wedding decor. They also have mountain views that are perfect portraits as the sun sets in the evening. If you’re looking for a space that’s perfect for a formal or black tie wedding you can’t go wrong with Breaux!

King Family Vineyards

King Family Vineyards is a another beautiful venue tucked right outside Charlottesville, Virginia, nearby the University of Virginia. Their gorgeous space is rustic, but elegant and offers versatile spaces indoors and outdoors. It’s beautiful on its own, but is also a blank canvas that’s perfect to build your wedding off of. With gorgeous views of their vineyards and the Blue Ridge Mountains I’m dying to shoot a wedding here!

Goodstone Inn

I actually crossed this one off my list last week! I did an editorial shoot at Goodstone Inn and Restaurant and got to  explore the grounds myself. They cutest courtyard, and beautiful stone structures walls, covered in ivy surrounding the pool. Not only would your ceremony and reception space be beautiful, they also have big open fields that are prefect for sunset. I’m heading back in two weeks for an engagement session, but I’d love to go back for a real wedding!

Big Spring Farm

Man I don’t think there’s a photographer out there who wouldn’t love to shoot at Big Spring Farm! This wedding venue is absolutely stunning! With a 19th century barn, mountain views and a waterfront ceremony space Big Spring is drop dead gorgeous. While they are nearby Lexington, Virginia the venue is extremely private making it a special place to celebrate with your friends and family. All of my friends who have shot weddings at Big Spring rave about it and I would love to see it for myself!

Are you thinking about getting married at one of these venues? Send me an email! I would love to hear all about your wedding plans!
