Aspen and Dan’s wedding plans may have been postponed to 2021, but I had such a great time celebrating their original date with these two up in Annapolis!

Annapolis Waterfront Portraits

For over a year now I’ve been chatting with Aspen and Dan about their plans to get married in June at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. But when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and everything began shutting down, they quickly realized they might need to postpone their celebration. After some debate, they ended moving their wedding day back a year to be able to have all of their loved ones together next summer. However, they still wanted to do something to mark their original plans!

So, only a few days after their original wedding day, I drove up to meet Dan and Aspen in Annapolis for a waterfront session. Since their original wedding was supposed to take place on the water it was only fitting to capture some beachfront portraits. The beach we met at is actually almost directly across the Chesapeake Bay from their wedding venue!

Aspen had gotten a floral wreath for their pup, Noka to wear for the photos and they popped some champagne that they had been gifted the day they got engaged! My favorite part was that they each took time to write each other notes in the same vow journals they’ll use on their new wedding date next year.

Aspen and Dan, thanks for having me capture some more portraits of you two this year! I can’t wait for 2021!
