Northern Virginia Wedding Venues

One of my favorite things about living in the DMV is the incredible number of venues near us. You can head south to Charlottesville, into D.C., up the Eastern Shore, or stay right here in Northern Virginia as you search for your dream venue. Often I get couples asking for ideas about where to tie the knot, so I’ve started to pull together some of my favorite spots! Today I’m starting off by sharing a comprehensive list of Northern Virginia wedding venues. Enjoy browsing some of my favorite venues (in no particular order!).

Shadow Creek Wedding & Events

Shadow Creek Weddings & Events in Purcellville is a classic chic barn and can hold up to 300 guests! This is the perfect venue for couples who want their wedding day to blend rustic and elegant vibes. My favorite part is their French country inspired bridal suite!

Rust Manor House

Rust Manor House is a historic mansion in Leesburg. Weddings take place both in the manor house and the surrounding gardens with receptions take place in their air conditioned tent.

Morais Vineyards

Morais Vineyards & Winery is the perfect backdrop if you want some European vibes on your wedding day. The winery has a beautiful cottage for the bridal party to get ready in the morning and your choice of three different ceremony locations including a private chapel. Cocktails at the front courtyard will make guests feel like they’ve been transported to Italy!

Tranquility Farm

Tranquility Farm is one of my personal favorites! The 1807 fieldstone manor and barn are situated along Goose Creek in Purcellville, and has sprawling grounds that are perfect for wedding day portraits. This venue is so expansive couples have the choice to say ‘I Do’ in multiple spots and can host their reception in the barn or in a tent beneath the largest silo in Loudoun County.

Stone Tower Winery

I’m so excited to be working at Stone Tower Winery in 2021! If you’re looking for breathtaking views in a vineyard setting look no further. Stone Tower is the perfect balance of rustic charm and sophisticated elegance. It’s no wonder it’s such a popular choice for so many couples!

48 Fields

48 Fields  is a beautiful farmhouse set in Leesburg with three historic barns, two houses and 48 acres of fields and woods. Their main barn has two different spaces – one bright white and full of natural light and one with rich woodwork. On top of their many outdoor options, 48 Fields offers so much variety to couples searching for a Northern Virginia wedding venue.

Breaux Vineyards

If you want stunning mountain views and gorgeous sunsets Breaux Vineyards is the venue for you! The vineyards has beautiful views of the vines and mountains that surround the ballroom.

Great Marsh Estate

I haven’t gotten to capture a wedding at Great Marsh Estate, but I’m crossing my fingers it happens soon! This Georgian Mansion has 121 acres of rolling hills and woodlands outside of Warrenton. The stunning ceremony spot in their courtyard is my favorite feature of the property!

The Stable at Bluemont Vineyard

From it’s position nestled into the Blue Ridge Mountains, The Stable at Bluemont Vineyard has panoramic ceremony views of Loudoun County. This private space, separate from the rest of the winery is a peaceful spot to tie the knot. Aside from the views I love this staircase that overflows with hydrangeas. It’s the perfect portrait spot!

Barn at Willowbrook

I’m so excited to be shooting at the newest Northern Virginia wedding venue this year – the Barn at Willowbrook! Located in Loudoun County, this all white barn is the perfect spot to tie the knot right outside of Leesburg. They also have a beautiful farmhouse for couples and their friends and family can get ready in beforehand.

Middleburg Barn

I’m also looking forward to being at the Middleburg Barn this year! Located on Fox Chase Farm, this elegant pine wood barn is a stunning space for weddings and can hold up to 350 people. If you’re expecting a lot of guests this is the perfect fit!

Goodstone Inn and Restaurant

Goodstone Inn is not only one of my favorite spots for portrait sessions, but also a stunning wedding venue! Goodstone’s beautiful landscape and charming rooms aren’t the only thing that make it a beautiful venue. It also has exceptional service and prides itself on its couples experiences. I love their combination of a ceremony in front of ivy covered walls and a tented ballroom!

Fleetwood Farm Winery

Designed with events in mind, Fleetwood Farm Winery is the perfect spot to get married in Leesburg. This new Northern Virginia wedding venue is classic and elegant backdrop for any couple’s wedding day. The property features a historic manor house, tasting room, grand terrace and several options for a beautiful ceremony. I got the chance to tour their new space a few weeks back and can’t wait for it to be officially open to the public!

Raspberry Plain Manor

Originally built in 1731, Raspberry Plain Manor features classic colonial architecture and countryside landscape. This unique space can hold a huge guest count and is known for the wide variety of events they host.

Sweeney Barn

I’m looking forward to working at Sweeney Barn for the first time this year! This Manassas dairy barn has been converted into a perfect event space with versatile indoor and outdoor options for any style of event.

Sylvanside Farm

I remember touring Sylvanside Farm back when renovations were just beginning! It’s owners have rejuventated this property into a beautiful space and I’m so excited to capture my first wedding there this year. The grounds have a huge variety of portrait locations and their two large barns offer beautiful reception spaces!

Riverside on the Potomac

Although I’ve gotten to assist on weddings here many times, my first wedding at Riverside on the Potomac will be in 2021! Located near the Potomac River it has sweeping views of gardens, ponds, and mountains. The grounds are huge and offer so much variety to couples planning out their ceremony and portrait locations.

Oak Barn at Loyalty

The Oak Barn at Loyalty is another new Northern Virginia wedding venue in Leesburg. The two story farm sits on 21 acres and has lovely mountain views. The Amish-built barn and accompanying courtyard is perfect for both indoor and outdoor events.

Whitehall Estate

I’ll be visiting Whitehall Estate for the first time this September! Located out in Bluemont, this beautiful manor home has gardens, terraces and private ballroom options for couples to choose from for their wedding.

Oatlands Historic House & Gardens

Oatlands is one of my favorite spots for portraits in Northern Virginia and is a fantastic option for your wedding! From mountain views to some of the most beautiful gardens I’ve ever seen they have it all!

Rosemont Springs

I recently got the chance to tour the newly built Rosemont Springs and am so excited to work in this new space! The back patio is the perfect secluded spot for a ceremony or cocktail hour and the barn has so much space for guests to enjoy during the reception. My favorite feature was the huge fireplaces that add a cozy touch for fall and winter weddings!

Kalero Vineyards

Kalero Vineyards has been hosting weddings for a few years, but I’ll be visiting for the first time in June. I’ve heard wonderful things about this Northern Virginia wedding venue! This 130 acre farm and vineyard has breathtaking views of the mountains. The Heartstone Barn was originally built in 1834 and has undergone restoration to be the perfect reception space!

The Atrium at Meadowlark

Looking for sprawling gardens and a space full of natural light? Look no further than the Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens! This beautiful space is full of windows letting in so much light and views of the surrounding gardens. With huge grounds to explore guests will have plenty of views to enjoy throughout their visit.

Birkby House

Looking for something right in the heart of downtown? Historic Birkby House is located right in the heart of downtown Leesburg and is the perfect location for couples who don’t want a countryside wedding venue. Despite being squeeze in tight on the street next to other homes, the property’s patio extends far back and homes a huge tent to host couples’ receptions.
