After a long week of potential stormy weather we had a beautiful day for Kelsey and Andrew’s wedding! The two tied the knot at Faith Like a Mustard Seed Farm in Lucketts, Virginia over Memorial Day weekend surrounded by their closest family and friends. This was my first time visiting the farm and I loved it! It’s only a few minutes outside of Leesburg and is a gorgeous venue for a wedding.
One of my favorite aspects of the day was all the personal details that Kelsey and Andrew worked into the planning and the personal elements they wore. Kelsey used her grandmother’s ring as her ‘something borrowed’ for the day of and wore a bracelet Andrew had bought for her along with her other jewelry.
The two of them chose to do a first look and it was personally my favorite moment of the whole day. There’s nothing like seeing each other for the first time on your wedding and having that moment to celebrate and enjoy each other’s company is so precious. I loved Andrew’s sweet reaction to seeing Kelsey!
Earlier in the week we were worried about thunderstorms. Throughout the day many of us were checking in the on the weather, but for the most part the rain held off! We managed to take all of Kelsey and Andrew’s photos outside. Only a brief rain shower caused us to move the ceremony inside last minute. However, the gorgeous barn has tons of strings lights so it was still a beautiful ceremony site.
I had so much fun photographing Kelsey and Andrew’s wedding day! With the sweetest first look, family singalongs on the dance floor, and the farm’s feathered friends joining the party the day was fantastic. You can take a peek at a few of my favorites below. Congratulations Kelsey and Andrew!
