September 7, 2017
Last weekend I got to capture Alina & Jarrod’s beautiful wedding at Lydia Mountain in Stanardsville, Virginia. Before the wedding day I had actually never met Alina & Jarrod! These two were one of my very first 2017 couples to book last September, but since they chose not to do an engagement session we never got to meet. I was so excited to meet these two in person finally! They were both so welcoming and kind and the love they have for their kids is obvious to anyone who meets them.
When Alina talked about the wedding she said she wanted it to be all about natural beauty and rustic roots. They embraced rustic DIY details with beautiful blush, blue and peach tones. Despite the rain Lydia Mountain was a stunning backdrop for their portraits with beautiful views of the mountains and valley below. Unfortunately because of the weather the ceremony had to be moved inside, but we still got to capture Alina & Jarrod’s first look, the bridal party and family photos outside. I’m so thankful we had some breaks in the rain for their wedding! Take a peek below to see some of my favorites from the day!
