Lynsey and Drew had to sneak in one more photoshoot before they left the city!
With a big move to Arizona just a few days away, Lynsey and Drew decided they wanted a few more photos in D.C. They’ve called the district home for eight years so it was only fitting to take a few portraits as a final sendoff! We met up for a Lincoln Memorial portrait session just days before their move – hoping for a sunrise, but were surprised with some dark, overcast weather. It turned out to be a small blessing though! An ice storm was rolling in and because of the chilly, dreary weather not a single other person had decided to come to the monuments that morning.
While sunrise usually means that the monuments are emptier than normal, there are still usually other photographers and couples taking photos and early morning athletes working out on the steps. But we had the entire place to ourselves! We took some portraits of them around the Reflecting Pool and the Lincoln Memorial before heading to the D.C. War Memorial to wrap up their session. It was so nice to get to see these two and photograph them one more time before their move!
