Winter Maryland Engagement Session

I had so much fun getting to know Caleb and Joanna at their winter Maryland engagement session!

I connected with Joanna shortly before Christmas and by the time the holidays were over I was meeting her and Caleb in Frederick for their portraits! Since these two are currently long distance for work we only had a few days to capture their engagement session before Caleb headed back up north. We started out in Baker Park, near where they used to go to school. The forecast had been a little iffy for us all week, but luckily the rain held off!

Then for our second stop we headed down the road to a little hidden park with mountain views. The clouds cleared up for us and we lucked out with the prettiest winter sunset to wrap up the evening. It was chilly, but these two made posing seem effortless despite the cold.

I can’t wait to photograph them again in just a few short months for their June wedding day at Rosemont Springs!
