Best Charlottesville Wedding Venues

Over the past few weeks I’ve been blogging about some of my favorite local wedding venues to help couples who are starting their venue search and this week I’m focusing on one of my favorite parts of Virginia – Charlottesville! Charlottesville wedding venues are gorgeous and there are so many beautiful estates and vineyards for couples to choose from! Enjoy some of my favorite Charlottesville wedding venues!

King Family Vineyards

Right in the hart of Crozet, this beautiful family owned vineyard is the perfect spot to get married! One of my best friends actually tied the knot here back in 2018. King Family Vineyards mixes rustic vibes with elegance and has stunning mountain views of the Blue Ridge.

Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards

Named one of the top venues in the U.S. by Brides Magazine, Pippin Hill is known for its stunning combination of mountain views, chic barn and wine country beauty. On top of that they also have full-service culinary team in house to bring your wedding reception to life.

Mount Ida Farm

Just outside of Charlottesville Mount Ida Farm and Vineyard is a gorgeous Charlottesville wedding venue. The venue has three different event spaces: The Lodge, The Event Barn and the Water’s Edge. The huge amount of variety paired with scenic views of lakes, vineyards and mountains can’t be beat!

Verulum Farm

With 500 acres overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, Verulum Farm is stunning. Couples can choose to get married at the Cider Barn if they want a rustic vibe surrounded by nature, horse pastures and ponds or at the manor home with it’s surrounding gardens. Don’t want to choose? They let you mix and match! You can also bring in a tent to their gardens if you want to create an entirely different space!

Market at Grelen

The Market at Grelen is a such a unique wedding space! What started as a European style garden shop has turned into a beautiful tented wedding venue. Aside from the greenhouse, fields and terrace, the 600 acre tree nursery has a huge clear tent that’s perfect for dancing the night away under the stars.

Veritas Vineyard & Winery

I’m so excited to be heading to Veritas in August for Torie & Alex’s wedding day! Aside from being an incredible winery, Veritas Vineyards & Winery  has a variety of indoor and outdoor event spaces. The farmhouse has a mix of European charm and Souther hospitality topped off with stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Swannanoa Palace

Looking for something a little more unique? Swannanoa Palace might be the perfect fit! The 1912 marble villa is nestled up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Afton, VA. The privately owned home looks like something that was transported straight out of Italy!

Inn at Willow Grove

The Inn at Willow Grove’s spa and resort is a beautiful estate to tie the knot at. The boxwood gardens, private dining spaces and barns offer a bunch of different choices for any wedding day. As a bonus you and your loved ones can spend the night on property too!

12 Ridges Vineyard

12 Ridges Vineyard is one of the newest venues to come to Charlottesville! Situated at the top of the mountain they literally have 360 degree panoramic views for you and your guests to enjoy. The terrace adjoining the tasting room is easily tented if you want an outdoor reception or they can host intimate wedding receptions indoors. If you’re looking for a more secluded location the garden is the perfect private space to exchange vows.

Silverback Ridge

Another venue new to the Charlottesville area is Silverback Ridge. Right next to Silverback Distillery, the venue has incredible views of the Blue Ridge mountains and surrounding grounds. Since they own the neighboring distillery couples can also add on fun speciality cocktails as well! The venue even includes a tent, tables, chairs and arbors for you to choose from.

Barn at Edgewood

The Barn at Edgewood was originally built in 1884 just north of Charlottesville and is now a family-owned venue. The barn boasts a rock fireplace, pond, and spacious apartments that double as the bridal suite. This is perfect if you’re looking for a rustic place to tie the knot.

Grace Estate Winery

if you want a winery with a stunning mansion and mountain views Grace Estate Winery would be the perfect fit! They take on just one wedding per weekend in order to provide the best experience possible. The elegant estate also houses a 40×80 tent that can seat up to 200 people for dinner.

Trump Winery

Trump Winery is unique in that it has four different venue choice for couples to choose from. You can tie the knot at the grand hall, the barn, in the chapel or at the estate itself. The Grand Hall has a stunning and spacious bridal suite and a huge terrace overlooking the countryside for your wedding ceremony. If you want a more rustic option the large pond and vineyards at the Barn might be the better option. The Estate itself is classic and elegant with huge gardens to roam for portraits. And finally there’s the Chapel. This cute little space is one of my favorites! Huge windows fill the space with natural light and offer a gorgeous, traditional backdrop for your ceremony. Paired with a reception in one of the other locations it’s perfect for the traditional, elegant couple!

Waterperry Farm

If you’re looking for something more intimate or maybe hosting an elopement Waterperry Farm is perfect! The gorgeous retreat has sprawling gardens, swimming pool, fields and guesthouses for couples to stay in. There’s also a beautiful glass greenhouse on property perfect for an intimate dinner with family and friends. I’m crossing my fingers to capture an elopement or intimate wedding here soon!

Montalto

Montalto at Monticello is now offering to host weddings at well! High up in the Blue Ridge Mountains couples can tie the knot while overlooking the Virginia countryside. The sprawling grounds can easily host a sailcloth tent for your reception as well!

Boar’s Head Resort

If you’re set on an indoor venue the Boar’s Head Resort is a romantic, southern setting. The classic-meets-contemporary vibe  pairs modern amenities with the Virginia countryside. Lodging, transportation, and catering are all available for couples tying the knot here.

Early Mountain Vineyards

Early Mountain Vineyards is one of my favorite Charlottesville wedding venues! The winery boasts many of the stunning views and delicious wines like other local venues, but their indoor space truly sets them apart. The indoor ballroom has high, vaulted ceilings and two towering stone fireplaces on either end. Once it’s decked out in florals and candlelit it’s the most romantic space for any season!

Bluestone Vineyard

If you’re looking to get married a little bit outside of Charlottesville, Bluestone Vineyard is a great option. Tucked in the farmland of Bridgewater, VA the property boasts views of both the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains. With both outdoor and indoor climate-controlled spaces it’s perfect not matter what season you’re getting married in.

Pharsalia

I’m crossing my fingers to get to work at Pharsalia soon! This cute, private home in Nelson County has beautiful views, a historic home and a sailcloth tent. The space has so many different options for you to set up that couples can choose whether they want a mountain backdrop or something more intimate like the flower garden for their ceremony.

Castle Hill Cider

If a winery isn’t your thing consider looking into Castle Hill Cider! With 600 acres in Keswick, VA and a huge white barn this venue can host up to 350 guests! Rolling hills, orchards and a lake combine to make this the perfect countryside destination.

Keswick Vineyards

Another favorite Charlottesville venue of mine is Keswick Vineyards! Keswick is a gorgeous private home with European style and mountain views. Receptions are held in the tent behind the home with an option to host cocktail hour around the pool. The private estate is separated slightly from the tasting room allowing couples to celebrate privately with their family and friends.

The Granary

The Granary at Valley Pike Market is a timeless, refined event space. Tucked between the Allegheny and the Appalachian mountain ranges it’s a classic timber structure finished with neutral details. I love how much of a blank canvas this venue is! Couples can really make it their own with a bright colorful palette or add to its neutral charm with lots of greenery.

Clifton Inn

Last, but definitely not least is the Clifton Inn. I am dying to capture a wedding at the Clifton! This elegant B&B is full of elegance and sophistication. Tie the knot in one of the garden spaces or in front of the main house before cocktail hour around the pool and dancing the night away under their stunning sailcloth tent. It’s a perfect if a romantic garden setting is what you’ve always dreamed of!
