Sylvanside Farm Wedding in Purcellville, Virginia

Alex and Kate had the most beautiful wedding day at Sylvanside Farm! After lots of worries about how things would play out with the pandemic these two were able to bring together their closest friends and family for a safe and relaxed wedding day!

Their entire wedding took place at Sylvanside Farm in Purcellville, VA. The farm was originally built in 1774 and has been restored to a beautiful venue with two barns, multiple cottages, and a freshwater pond on 25 acres. Both Kate and Alex got ready on property with their wedding party and had lots of time to celebrate with their close friends before the ceremony and reception began!

Kate and Alex, I have loved getting to spend time with you two over the past year! It was so much fun to capture your wedding day and I wish you nothing but the best!

I feel like this photo of the hand sanitizer and flowers pretty much sums up what it’s been like to get married in 2020!

Kate shared a first look with her dad first to start the day!

Then it was time for her first look with Alex!

Kate had not one dress, but two!! The bridal boutique that she got her dress at was going out of business so she was able to get a second look for the price of one wedding dress! I loved this outfit change before we did the second half of their portraits!

At the end of the night Alex and Kate skipped an exit and instead opted to share a private last dance with just the two of them. I’m hoping more couples start to opt for this tradition – it was such a sweet way to end the night!
