So many couples have had to face unexpected changes to their wedding day this year and C+T’s District Winery wedding was no exception! Originally they were supposed to get married at a different venue, but when the pandemic hit they were quick to innovate their plans to create a safe wedding environment for their guests.
Since it seems uncertain when a completely normal wedding day will be back, C+T cut down their guest list and planned an intimate wedding reception on the District Winery rooftop after their church ceremony. District Winery’s outdoor terrace was the perfect fit as each set of guests had their own little table spread out around the space where they could all chat with each other and enjoy the sweeping views of the Potomac River next door.
C+T’s microwedding celebration at District Winery was such a perfect example of how couples are embracing changes and still having beautiful wedding days. I loved getting to capture this beautiful day for them and can’t wait for round two! Enjoy a few of my favorite portraits of them below!
I loved these cute bride and groom masks that they wore! They were such a fun and safe touch!
We had to dodge quite a few people walking along the bridge in Yards Park, but I think it was worth it! It was such a fun piece of D.C. architecture to include and we were there at the perfect time for some glowy golden light!
I'm a Virginia wedding photographer serving the DMV and worldwide. I strive to balance the composed with the candid and capture vibrant, timeless images for my couples.
