I was so excited to finally get to meet Josh and Alison! These two booked me several months ago when the lockdown was in full effect so their Frederick engagement session was the first chance I had to meet them! We started out in Frederick’s Baker Park to capture some of their home before we headed to a favorite local brewery of theirs. Our original plan was to take the second half of their photos at Sugarloaf Mountain, where Josh proposed. However, when we arrived we found that the park had closed unexpectedly early and there was no way to access the overlooks! After we realized that many of the other local parks and wineries next to Sugarloaf where closed we quickly had to think of someplace else.
Luckily, Alison and Josh had recently been hiking and remembered a small trail that was only about 15 minutes away. It was such a hidden gem! We had just enough time to drive over and capture some portraits before the sun slipped behind the mountains! The fields and mountains were a beautiful backdrop and we had the best sunset views to end their session!
Like many couples this year they had to make the difficult choice to postpone their wedding. But I can’t wait to be back at Holly Hills Country Club again next year to capture their big day!
