A Kalero Vineyard Wedding in Purcellville, Virginia

Holly and Jon’s wedding day was a long time coming! Holly and Jon had originally planned on getting married back in June, but with so much uncertainty around the pandemic, they decided to push their wedding day out a few months to August instead. This was my first full wedding day back after a few months of mini ceremonies so I was so even more excited than usual to capture their day at Kalero Vineyard!

I started off the day with Holly and the girls at Hidden View B&B. Just down the road from Kalero Vineyard, this cute bed and breakfast was the perfect spot for Holly and the bridesmaids to get ready! The master suite had a bright sunroom that was perfect for Holly to get dressed in and spend a few minutes alone with her mom before the day’s festivities kicked off. Holly had only taken her mom with her to go dress shopping so none of her bridesmaids had seen her dress yet! We headed out to Hidden View’s front lawn (which has beautiful mountain views) so she could surprise them with her bridal look!

Despite overcast skies, the rain held off for us all day so Jon and Holly’s wedding ceremony was able to take place outside! Holly described their wedding day as rustic-themed and Kalero Vineyard was the perfect spot for it! This 130 acre farm is home to an intimate vineyard setting and historic barn that predates the Civil War. The vines and mountain views were the perfect backdrop for their vows and portraits!

After ceremony the party kicked off inside of Kalero’s Heartstone Barn, were guests danced the night away. We wrapped up the evening with a sparkler exit to send off the newlyweds!

Jon and Holly, I have loved getting to know you two over the past year and half! You two handled the craziness of planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic with such grace and it was such an honor to capture your wedding day. Congratulations – I can’t wait to see what’s in store for you two next!
