An Engagement Session in Historic Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia

I was so excited to finally get to meet Hannah and Austin for their Harper’s Ferry engagement session! These two first booked with me almost a year ago and now their wedding day is right around the corner!

When we started looking for a location for their engagement session we knew they wanted some place that offered mountains and woods, but didn’t want to go quite as far as the overlooks along Skyline Drive.  After some thought we finally settled on Harper’s Ferry! It was the perfect mixture of backdrops for their portraits.

The day of their engagement session, we started off the afternoon at a nearby battlefield and some historic ruins. Their dog, Nala even hopped in some of the photos! Luckily, by the time we headed to the historic downtown area most of the weekend visitors had headed home so we the space mainly to ourselves. We were able to also walk along the water and then make a short hike up to Jefferson Rock to wrap up their session.

I’m looking forward to photographing these two again in just a few short weeks for their big day!
