Gina & Jake || St. Francis Hall Wedding

The week before Gina and Jake’s wedding I was at a retreat in Texas, and as much fun as I was having I couldn’t wait for their wedding day to be here! They had been so much fun to work with over the past several months and I was so excited for their St. Francis Hall wedding.

The day began in Old Town Alexandria where the pair got ready. Gina had picked out the most beautiful details to go with her black, white and gray color palette. My favorite surprise was the welcome boxes Gina’s mom put together herself, complete with Jefferson Memorial sugar cookies. It was so fitting since Gina and Jake got engaged at the monument and perfect for a classic D.C. wedding!

Once finishing touches were all in place everyone headed over to the Basilica of Saint Mary. There Gina and Jake tied the knot in a Catholic ceremony after twelve years together! After the ceremony, everyone headed over to St. Francis Hall. The banquet hall is set next to the Franciscan monastery and their beautiful gardens right in the heart of D.C. Gina and Jake had told me that the second they saw the gardens they’d fallen in love with the venue, so we headed straight there for photographs! Lucky for us, fall hadn’t quite set in so the gardens were still in full bloom. As the sun set we had the most glowy, golden light!

Meanwhile the guests where enjoying a tented cocktail hour, before being welcomed into the banquet hall. The reception kicked off with dances and speeches before guests packed the dance floor. The night ended with a sparkler exit complete with Jake carrying Gina off to the limo.

Gina and Jake, I have loved getting to know you two over the past year. It was an honor to capture photos of your big day and enjoy all the celebrations with your family and friends. I wish you nothing, but the best and can’t wait to see what comes next!
