Katrina and Michael are married! A couple weeks ago I drove up to Holly Hills Country Club in Ijamsville, Maryland for their big day. The club, resembling an old manor home, is surrounded by the golf course. It’s secluded even though it’s on right on the edge of a neighborhood. It was the perfect spot for their wedding day!

Katrina described their dream wedding as elegant and vintage– and she brought that to life! My favorite vintage element was the bridesmaids sparkling dresses! They all wore various shades of champagne and had old Hollywood curls. Katrina’s bridesmaids had the perfect amount of vintage flair!

The entire day was beautiful, but my favorite moments were getting to spend time with Katrina and Michael taking sunset portraits around Holly Hills Country Club. We started at the back of the country club with a real horse-drawn carriage! Decked out in white florals, the horse and carriage were something like out of a fairytale. They looked straight out of a Disney movie! After we captured portraits with a stunning sunset before they kicked off an amazing reception. The dance floor was packed all night long!

Katrina and Michael, I am so lucky to have been your wedding photographer! Your day was so much fun from start to end and I loved getting to capture all the fun! You two have been such a joy to get to know and I am so happy for you both!

The day began with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Close family members were invited to partake before all the other wedding festivities started. This was my first time photographing a Chinese tea ceremony and I loved how much time was set aside to share a special moment with each guest.

After the tea ceremony, Katrina and Michael headed back upstairs to get ready for an outfit change and headed to their first look.

One of my favorite parts of the ceremony was that Katrina and Michael’s dogs were involved. They each walked down the aisle, and one even carried the ring’s in a basket!
