Part one of a very special shoot is hitting the blog – my little sister, Sabrina’s portraits! Last weekend we spent the whole day capturing her senior photos. Over the course of the day we took D.C. dance portraits at dawn and then senior portraits in the evening. Check out part one below!
For Sabrina’s dance portraits we woke up at dawn for the best possible light. Before the sun was even up we were in the car and driving into D.C. to beat the crowds. The Jefferson Memorial is such a beautiful, classic location for portraits and we knew it would be the perfect backdrop for Sabrina’s dance portraits. Our planning worked well, because at 7am there were no tourists and we had the whole monument to ourselves! For most of the morning our luck continued and we were able to shoot Sabrina’s three different outfits completely undisturbed. It was so much fun to work on a photoshoot that’s not my norm and capture something creative for my little sister. Check out a few of my favorites below!
