The stubborn cold weather has kept the cherry blossoms from blooming, but that didn’t stop this spring D.C. engagement session from being full of beautiful light and flowers! Stephanie and Reese met up with me at the Jefferson Memorial last weekend for a rather chilly spring session. We’ve been chatting since the fall and it was so nice to finally meet them in person!
Stephanie and Reese met through a mutual friend and have been together for a little over two years. They’ll be getting married in September at the beautiful Cloverdale Barn in Winchester!
After lots of portraits at the Jefferson we were on a mission to find some flowers! The wind and chilly temperatures have pushed back the cherry blossom dates more than once this year. Despite the cherry blossom festival being the day before, there are no blooms to be seen on the tidal basin! Luckily, I’d been in the city earlier that week. While I was there I happened across a square with a bunch of trees in bloom. We called an Uber and halfway through their session we were driving further into the city! It was the perfect spot for the second half of their session!
