Kara and Justin’s Virginia winery wedding is one I have been excited about since February! We met a few months back to capture their engagement photos on the football field at James Madison, and I’ve been looking forward to photographing these two fellow alums again ever since! Back when they were at college they would often head to the Winery at Kindred Pointe to meet up with their family since the vineyard was owned by a family friend. It only made since to return for their wedding!

I spent the morning capturing all of their detail shots and Kara and the bridesmaids getting ready. The girls even had adorable matching robes for while they did their hair and makeup and helped Kara get in her dress! Kara and Justin shared a sweet first look and had a few minutes to relax and take some portraits alone together before there ceremony.

After a threat of rain earlier in the week their day ended up being beautiful and HOT.  Nevertheless the ceremony was beautiful and had clear skies! The day wrapped up with a fun reception with all their close family and friends. The bridesmaids and Kara’s cousin even had choreographed a surprise dance for her during the maid of honor’s speech.

It was such a privilege to be able to capture Justin and Kara’s beautiful wedding and I feel so lucky to have played a small part. Congratulations you two!
