With wedding season kicking off it took me a couple weeks to get to this Rust Manor House sweetheart session, but I’m so glad to have finally have these on the blog! Back in March my new Showit website launched and I did a session giveaway on Instagram. Katie’s been friends with my sister since they were little and Leah tipped her off that the giveaway was happening. Both Katie and Evan entered and they won! With graduation and capstone projects keeping me busy, and Katie and Evan preparing for exams we had a hard time nailing down a date for their session. We finally decided to wait until we were all back in Northern Virginia.

I am SO glad we decided to wait because Rust Manor House was the perfect backdrop! Tucked away in Leesburg, VA it’s a beautiful spot for a wedding, a session or just to explore! Katie and Evan were looking for a natural location, but wanted some buildings like brick walls mixed in. I haven’t done a shoot at Rust Manor House, except for a chilly mini shoot with my spokesmodels, and it was so nice to come back on a warmer day!

Katie and Evan were fantastic models! They both were loving and playful with each other and went along with all my silly posing games! We started out by the gardens of the house before walking down to the small pond. We wrapped up our session with an outfit change and headed to the field next door. The sun was just setting making the field light up gold! We snuck in a few individuals of each them before wrapping up with a few more shots together. The photos of them dancing through the field are definitely some of my new favorites. I’m so glad I had time to get to know Katie and Evan better!
