Every now and then it’s always fun to test out my creativity with some out of the box shoots. Last week’s shoot was a “wreck the dress” kind of shoot with the help of my friend Jess as the model and sister Leah working as my assistant. After a thirty-minute hike through the woods we arrived at Scott’s Run waterfall. The location was gorgeous, but turned out to be really tricky when we discovered how slippery all the rocks were underwater. I was more than a little afraid that both my camera and I would end up in the water. It took some careful balancing to find a stable place for me to shoot from. Jess started out completely dry at first.
Then we added in a crown I’d made from fake flowers the night before. Some fake flowers turned into a simple prop that helped add a lot of dramatic effect!
Then little by little as Jess started to swim around we nailed my favorite shot of the shoot!
