Old Town Alexandria Engagement Session

I’m so excited to finally share some photos of Tyler and Mayra’s engagement session! These two first reached out to me last October a few weeks after Tyler proposed on the beach in Mexico! It seems like we’ve been chatting forever and still hadn’t met.

We’d originally planned for their engagement session to be in April in Georgetown, but with all the COVID mandates and mandatory mask rules in D.C. we decided to switch over to Alexandria’s historic streets. On top of that it seemed every day we had their engagement session scheduled for the weather turned bad. They’ve probably had to deal with the most postponements for an engagement session ever, but the summer storms finally gave us a break!

We lucked out a few weeks ago when the rain finally held off and I was able to meet up with these two on Prince Street for their session. We wandered around the alleyways for a little bit before we headed over to the Carlyle House. Finally, the sun started to peek out so we wrapped up their session by the waterfront with some portraits on the docks and champagne.

I can’t wait to celebrate their new wedding date next July. In the meantime, enjoy some of my favorites from their Old Town Alexandria engagement session!
