Shane & Lauren || East Lynn Farm Wedding

I was so excited for Lauren and Shane’s wedding day! From our first meeting over a year ago to their chilly engagement session, Lauren and Shane have been so much fun to work with. I have been looking forward to photographing their wedding day all summer!

Lauren described their big day as an elegant rustic wedding and East Lynn Farm was the perfect fit! Tucked in the countryside of Purcellville, Virginia it’s a functioning farm with acres of sprawling pastures, a cute farm house and barn, and stunning views of the Blue Ridge and Bull Run Mountains. The weather had been a little temperamental all week, but it held of on Saturday for their wedding day. Despite some cloudy skies and a little bit of misting, we managed to get all of their portraits done around East Lynn’s beautiful property and they got to keep their ceremony outdoors where they planned. By the time the skies opened up everyone was too busy dancing away inside to notice!

Lauren and Shane, thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer. It has been a joy to work with you and photograph your wedding day. I loved being there to celebrate and capture your memories over the past year! You two have such a beautiful relationship and I feel so lucky to have been the one capturing your memories. Congratulations, I wish you two all the best!!

After her sisters and mom helped her into her dress, Lauren shared a sweet first look with her dad before the ceremony!

Lauren picked such a unique color for her bridesmaids’ dresses! It’s one I haven’t seen before at a wedding and I loved it!

One of my favorite moments of the day was their first dance! Shane and Lauren surprised everyone with a choreographed dance to Ray Lamontagne’s ‘You Are the Best Thing’. By the end of the evening it the rain was coming down pretty heavily. The plan had been to send Lauren and Shane off with a LED balloon exit, but the weather just wasn’t cooperating. Luckily, we still made the best of it and ended the evening with some night time portraits with the balloons!
