The day of Amanda and Brian’s session we had some beautiful 60 degree weather in January that was perfect for a small shoot! Amanda and Brian started dating in high school and have been together six years! Amanda and I met in class at JMU since we’re the same major, but Brian goes to school up in Maryland. They had agreed to help me test out a new location so we met up at Riven Rock Park in George Washington National Forest. The spot ended up being in a pretty shady area, but we made the best of it and hopefully can shoot in some better lighting conditions another time!
We quickly discovered after arriving at the park that there’s not much room for walking around! While there’s a lot of rocks to walk around on, the banks of the creek are almost nonexistent! We spent a lot of our time slipping and sliding over the rocks and carefully balancing as we moved from spot to spot. At one point I even told them to be ready to catch my camera, because if I slipped I would be throwing it at them as I fell in!
