When I first saw the announcements for The Gathering Event I knew immediately I wanted to go. Hope Taylor Photography and Caroline Logan Photography both started their businesses at such young ages and have been inspiring industry leaders I’ve followed since first deciding to begin my own photography business. The event took place Monday at Stevenson Ridge and for five hours Hope and Caroline shared inspiration, some of their struggles in business, and practical advice for successful businesses. I learned so much in such a short amount of time and along with 80 other young business owners (from 18 states!) left feeling confident about my business and the next steps to take.

Also, one of my favorite parts of the day was carpooling down early Monday morning with four other amazing young women who run their own photography businesses or are just starting out.  We explored the streets of downtown Fredericksburg, grabbed a quick lunch and then met up with some other girls for a headshot swap before the event kicked off!
